PSP

DS admittedly has better battery life, but there's not too many handheld games that I'll be playing for more than 3.5 hours without stopping at some point.

The graphics are 500 times better. I did however like the DS's touch screen. The fact is the PSP is a portable movie player, and MP3 player, and there are soon to be attachments to make it a digital camera and TV. The DS just can't compete with that. I also had zero trouble getting it set up on my wireless network at home. So now I can also play online with it.

 

The DS doesnt need to compete with it. The DS is for games. The PSP's closest competitor is the N-Gage.

Lets see, the GameGear also worked as a TV, and we all see how well that went.


Not to mention who really needs that huge thing to play MP3's and who's going to try to put a movie on thier computer then onto the PSP? And dont forget you gotta have a memory stick to do that which means you've gotta have a Sony computer. Oh oh and the fact that the memory sticks cant even hold an average length movie.

The PSP is cool, but its not a gaming system. The games on it right now arent anything worth owning. Not to mention its WAY to delicate a machine to be a portable.

 

Dude the PSP is DEF. a gaming system. That's like saying the PS2 and XBOX aren't gaming systems because they play DVDs and CDs. You're coming up with 8 million excuses why you didn't buy one yet not one has been valid. I don't know if its because you can't afford the nicer one and are a little pissed over it or what, but its a nice system. MUCH nicer than the DS which I have. I like my DS, but the PSP is that much better. Sony tacked on the extra MP3 player etc yes, but that's nly as pluses. It crushed the DS's graphics has a faster processor. It has better game types. ALREAY has more games on the market than the DS. It is simply a superior system. At this point the only real competition that it may have is the Gamemodo and that's not expected out until next year.

 

it hooks up to the PC via a USB cable. You can use any type of computer. But then again you could anyways. I don't know who taught you about computers but Flash memory cards work with all kinds. The movies aren't gonna go from computer to the PSP. I mean I guess you could, but you can buy them on the DSP disk just like DVDs. Furthermore what I'm hearing as of now, is there's gonna be an added feature to the PS3 that's gonna allow you to rip DVD movies to DSP disks to watch.

 

I got a 512 meg memory stick and put 2 movies on it, some music, pictures, etc. If you want to watch a movie, you have to rip it, convert it and upload it. It's a pain in the ass but I don't plan on watching too many movies on it. I play the games.

The PSP is worthless in every respect. Its has nothing original at this point that I cant play on my PS2 already. I mean..wow they have 0 games worth owning. At least with the DS I can play the best platforming game ever created with a portable system (Mario 64). The only game the PSP really has coming out thats worth two shits is the new Grand Theft. Oooh and SOCOM when ever it comes out for the PSP. Otherwise theres nothing that intrests me. But that being said, I'll pick one up in a few months when they work the kinks out of the system.

Oh and the X-box crushes the PS2 in graphics, but that still doesnt make it a good system.

 

PSP has Wipeout which is already kick ass but since I'm not a whiney whore because I can aford one I know that and you don't. I also have Mario 64 on DS I like it, but like I've said the PSP whips its ass.
