only thing I don't like is the proprietary movie disks. Will there be a way to hook it up to a TV and watch your full price movie on something besides a 4 inch screen? I don't see much appeal over a portable DVD player for movie watching, considering you'd have to buy a duplicate of your favorite movies for travel in this PSP disk format. I'm not much for portable gaming or movies anyway though. I'd rather have a good book when I'm traveling.

Another $350 bucks down the drain. I can either pick it up at midnight or in the morning.

you better check for dead pixels before you leave the store..I've had a few friends already have that problem.

well then it should be. Dead pixels usually show up on these screens early. My friend had them when he turned it on. It's like a manufacturing mistake.

And apparently complaints are all over the internet with people returning their psp's for working ones. I'm sure Sony will put a stop to this and tell stores to not accept returns unless they have more than 5 or more dead pixels. That's what they did in Japan.

I didnt buy the PSP for these reasons:

    1) Its a Sony first gen system. It will break in 5 months.

    2) Within those 5 months Sony will release a better version that can do more.

So I got a DS instead and I love it.

I got both... and I was skeptical at first that the PSP would be that much better. Its SERIOUSLY that much better. To the point I'm considering taking my DS and the games I have for it and trading them in so I can get more PSP games... Its hella impressive. Mine also came with the Spiderman2 movie on DSP. I didn't think this kind of hand held system would be available for at least 5 more years... its that good.

But Brain, its going to break like all first run Sony products so you'll have to go through the hassle of getting a new one.

Plus the DS gets MUCH better battery life.

Oh and the whole movie playing this is rather stupid and just gimmicky.
