    and yes, i know hockey. not as much, or even close to as much as you, since you appear to be an avid fan. but that is cool. i have no problem with that.

    Please. Again, nobody here is disputing that the Braves have done very well in the regular season. Nobody is disputing that they have been a damn good team--in the regular season. But they just have not won the World Series titles and the pennants to back up their rock-solid regular season performances.

    You can accuse me of bitterness all you want, and you can suck law1ng's dick all you want in exchange for him saying stuff that you agree with, and you can continue to not do a goddamn thing except fling electronic excrement at me like the simpering baboon that you are (because lord knows that's SO much easier than actually discussing the topic at hand--which is the Braves' lack of great postseason success), but it's not going to change the simple fact that the Atlanta Braves have not done anything in the postseason except fall flat on their faces.

    That, my dear boy, is choking.

    It's like the Detroit Red Wings winning the President's Trophy (best record) in the regular season only to get smacked down by a team that's a lower seed in their conference (or, if it's 1995, a team that barely made the playoffs to begin with). It's like the Green Bay Packers blazing guns through the regular season only to get pwnt in the first round by the wild card team.

    It's called "going into the postseason with great expectations, only to fail to meet those expectations".

    It's CHOKING.

    one can only choke when they are heads and shoulders above the rest. don't compare the red wings to the braves. the yankees are where that comparison should be.

    Yeah. Right.

    Why? Classless asshole team, classless asshole fans, dump of a town, propensity for falling flat on their faces in the postseason (with three--or in the Braves' case, only one--exceptions) after kicking ass during the regular season--sounds like a pretty accurate comparison to me.
