I'll make it easy for you so I don't have to suffer through another 1000 words.

First, quit assuming you know anything about my toolbox. :) It's annoying. Next, quit projecting your own feelings about Protestantism onto us Protestants. That combo is putting you on the wrong path here.

You told me that you don't want or need anyone but Jesus in your toolbox, so I don't think I made any assumptions there. The rest is just my opinion and observation combined with Catholic teachings. I've tried both religions. Maybe it's just the timing in my life, but I didn't really have what I considered irrefutable evidence of God's existence until I tried praying the rosary, even though that wasn't why I was praying it. It's kind of exciting to me, so sorry if I offended you.

Why would I be offended? You can continue to wrongly use your own assumptions and projections about Protestantism as much as you would like to justify your bead chanting and related opinions.

Typical Protestant hostility. Always with the indignation. That's what happens when you let a psychopathic king of England start writing the rules. :imagestor

I'm just busting balls at this point, even though it's how I feel. Didn't mean to get so far off topic or to offend. This was supposed to pretty much be limited to a Mary discussion.

Nah. I woulda made a lot more fun of you for the line about praying the rosary changing your life in unexpected ways if I wanted to be really hostile.

Well, in all honesty, if anyone needed some changing in their life, it was me, and it is an ongoing process. It was just very exciting to feel it coming over me as an obvious and direct result of a certain style of prayer.

An interesting way of putting it. I wouldn't disagree.

Most assuredly. Just as it means something for Simon, Andrew, Matthew, Paul, and the others to be personally selected by Jesus to spread His gospel. Just as it means something for Moses to be personally selected by God to free the Hebrews. Just as it means something for Noah to be personally selected by God to save the human race. These were all devoted people of God who were used in truly amazing ways. I just haven't seen anything yet that singles out one over the rest.

At the risk of semantics, technically she was the mother of the incarnated Jesus. Jesus is an eternal being. Mary is not.
