    I've met the Baseball Prospectus guys and most of them are even bigger assholes than I am, if you can believe it. They're not completely full of shit, but one of the reasons they've gotten so much pub is that they're good at marketing themselves as some sort of statistical geniuses. They don't have much respect at all from other people who work in the industry because they're all flash and little substance. They fool dupes into buying their books and believing that they know what they're talking about instead of actually contributing something worthwhile to baseball research.

    I've never really payed that much attention to the rankings, but I thought it would be interesting to discuss them.
