State will compete for ACC championship next year along with Wake and Duke. Too bad we won't have 4 NC schools in the mix.

I've made my opinions of UNC's chances next year well known and have backed it up with actual reasons. Terry adds little to your team. While just about every other team will be getting better through recruiting. If you want to think that is idiocy then fine. I call it reality.

As far as I see it the ACC will break down into three tiers next year.

    1st
    Wake
    Duke
    NcST

    2nd
    GT
    UNC
    Maryland

    3rd
    Fla st
    Clemson
    Virginia

I really think any team in any tier could end up at any position but I don't see teams moving within the tiers. UNC will need a lot of luck to even end up at 4th.

UNC loses Johnson and Holmes, neither of them missed. They get May back and Terry, it's sorta like having two recruits if you ask me. Plus throwing in the factor of having a very young team, it is too hard to judge all this at this point.

I could say sly's predictions as fairly accurate. The question is not UNC's talent but can the gray-haired boy become a substantially better coach next season?
