I think it's already been answered, but to save you the trouble of sorting through all the mess, the general consensus is that we can't praise drafting the best player available before the draft and then gripe about it afterwards. Davis wasn't a great fit for 2005 whether he ends up playing some at SLB or not, but he does give the defense a hitting presence it hasn't had, and we were looking at both SS and WLB being vacant in 2006 before Minter re-signed.
