Yeah, these two directors ain't gelling the crew together as a team. Looks like there's too many chiefs and not enough braves.

    BTW... gutter, what's your genre?

My genre? He he. Nothing I write is the same. It varies from a handicapped crackhead to a gay superhero. I guess there is a them to everything. The small and weak rise up to do something great. That is a common theme in my stories. I can relate.

Sounds like a winner. Knock yourself out.

My girl told me I should submit to Project Greenlight, but I'm working on a novel and I want to finish that first. Later, who knows... but if I did win, I just hope I wouldn't end up with a couple of jackasses directing like that poor Battle of Shaker Heights girl.

It's gotta be scary to put your work into the hands of someone else. Unless it was like Scorcese. And still then.

Very true. When you first break in, it's like being on the low end of the food chain. Only by winning "respect" (i.e., making money or critical acclaim) do the moneymen at the studio give you a freer rein.

After watching tonight's episode, I thought about how the whole thing's becoming a clusterfuck beacause the crew is not working together as a team. Everyone is wanting to go off in their own direction, and it's coming back to bite 'em in the ass. Whether you're playing pick-up basketball or working in a military environment, you have to remember that star players don't win the gold; teams do. Until this bunch un-lodges their heads from their collective asses, this movie's on its way to becoming just another dud.

i've caught some of the last couple episodes. very funny shit. those directors are completely aholes. the last one ended with them saying "well, we just can't keep blaming everyone else". the other guy had a look like "why not?". but hey, that's what these shows are about -- putting people together and watching shit fall apart. if it was designed to run smoothly, it'd be a boring show.

I like the fact that the name of the movie is the Battle of Shaker Heights....my hometown. Too bad they are filming it in LA.

Geesh. A brutal score from the screening. For the first time I felt sorry for the directors...well, not really, but I was close to feeling sorry for them.
