I want to know what the penalty is for NOT killing someone who, according to God, needs killing. Since God COMMANDS that we kill certain people, he must be pissed if we miss any, and surely we've missed MILLIONS over the years. Who's soul does it bear on when we directly disobey God and DON'T kill people, or is this one of those direct commands that we can obey at our leisure? Don't bother giving me scripture to explain. There's no justification for premeditated murder, and you'll know that someday. It doesn't matter if you've been able to escape the responsibility of having your hands commit the murder. God knows that it's in your heart.

I am not trying to justify any political position in this thread. I believe the way I do because the Bible says what it does. I am not trying to twist anything.

Why can't everyone be as smart as you? I'd have a lot more respect for someone if they just said that their desire for revenge is stronger than their will to love people.

I do not know what God's punishment is but I am sure he is displeased when those who are guilty of murder are not punished. Anyone who commits a murder deserves capital punishment. That is God's law and in many cases man's law too.

You do not seem to be able to seperate the execution of a guilty person and the murdering of an innocent person. That is a huge difference and the two are in no way morally equal.

Capital punishment is not about revenge or even deterence. It is about justice.

Just as you do not seem to understand that religion is not about justice. Never has been, never will be.

Where do you think the concept of justice came from.

I still have not heard a logical argument as to why the verses I quoted are twisted. I have not heard why they do not mean what they say.

If the person you are going to kill is a murder who has been tried and convicted of his crime and scheduled to be killed as punishment and the government has selected you to carry out the sentence and you are qualified to administer said punishment within the guidlines of the government's rules then by all means please go out and kill someone.
