    The catholics decided to withhold communion on their own with no help from me. I am just bashing Kerry for using his supposed catholicism for political gain.

    I have no problemt with the Kerry stuff Thelt. I agree with you about leaving a church one does not agree with. Kerry is fair game. He's not the church though.

    It's this I have a problem with - and it was in your very first post:

    You can wrap the name of Kerry around it all you want, but that statement there is just the worst kind of hypocritical tripe if you are not a member of that church. It's really none of your business as far as the church is concerned. As I said before, that's an awfully strange place for a conservative to go.

    I never said I advocated forcing the church to do anything. I am merely supporting their right to refuse communion to those who are pro-choice. I am backing the right of a religion to stick to its beliefs which is very conservative.

    I saw a story about a church that is refusing communion to pro choice politicians. I was supporting them in my post. It is up to catholics to decide and I do not advocate the government getting involved.
