    Actually, I have heard here and there (though not often) the use of the word 'murder' in place of 'kill' in reference to the Commandment.

    I think motivation has everything to do with determining the justification of war. Would the Pope have the same opinion if Italy decided to roll a few tanks through Vatican City? Probably not. I'm not even sure the Pope felt the same way about Desert Storm back in 1991. For whatever reason, it would appear the Pope is speaking out against America's motivation for this war, not war itself.

    I disagree. I think God is much happier when we leave the execution of justice up to Him. JMO.

    The funny thing is, in this day and age, there's really no stigma attached to walking away from organized religion and basically following whatever you want to believe.
