    "Worthy of communion"? Hmm. :thinking:

    Don't know if I'd go there. I see your point, and I'm tempted to agree with it. But to start drawing distinctions as to who is 'worthy' to take communion is a slippery slope, IMO. One of the biggest barriers Jesus shattered during His ministry was the wall between practicing Jews and those deemed 'unclean'.

    As a counterpoint, would it not be foolish to ignore the leading/guidance of those who have more intelligence and experience? And would it not be selfish to keep any knowledge we have to ourselves and not mentor others who want to be mentored?

    This is what changed. He never said she wasn't guilty. He said no one there was worthy to carry out justice on her. That principle has not changed today.
