"We slowed down at the end, and unfortunately I think the guys were thinking about I-85," Rivera said. "But the beginning of practice was really good, real smooth, a lot of good things happened. Then you could kind of tell they were a little bit wandering. I think they were thinking about going home. I wish they could have finished practice and focused all the way through."

I am really excited about this season, and yet every time I hear Rivera speak he brings me down. Is it just me?

 

It feels like he's still trying to get settled into the role of head coach, which would be ok if this wasn't his third year on the job.

 

Didn't he stop practice to tell everyone to work hard last year? I thought this was a repost from last TC.

 

Please enlighten the board what gestures Cam continued to make.

Anyone else that cares about the "truth" can watch the rerun on NFLN tonight at 12am. It happens in the 4th quarter with 3.20 on the clock.

I assume they are running the local broadcast as that's what all the other games appear to be too.

You started by arguing with me on post 28 after I made my comments about what Sapp said. You've called me a liar, a moron, inferior and delusional all in 1 thread. All I've asked you to do is watch the incidents again but you're stubbornly clinging to your false accusations. At least you've stopped crapping on about Cam being "WAY" in front of Bostic after I posted the game footage.

Nobody is denying Cam was mugging and TD confronted him but the idea that Cam just brushed TD aside and ignored him and continued mugging is false. Anyone that cares enough to watch it and judge for themselves will see that.

And you really need to stop with what "value" other posters bring to the board. This forum is hanging on by a thread, B&B has practically carried this board by himself this off season and you yourself have been particularly negative in most things you have to say about the Panthers the last few years. Ok in the line of no one gives a shit, I thought Cam made a face, turned and commented to the other player & camerman and then stopped. I was less bothered by that then multiple players over the years I've seen laughing on the sidelines when we're getting our asses handed to us.

And even my response in post 28 was hardly offensive. I corrected your characterization of the play and yet agreed that there was no valid criticism to be made of Newton regarding it. This thread was going just fine until you showed up and picked a fight with me, as you almost always do whenever you decide to post here. Starting shit with me is obviously your favorite past-time.

Cam threw the ball from the Panthers' 39 and Bostic made the interception at the Bears' 48. That's 13 yards of difference, but if you want to quibble about that not being enough for "way" then knock yourself out. Newton then engaged in chicken-fighting with #96, probably because he was annoyed about being blocked during a preseason game, before turning and jogging upfield. Again, I have repeatedly said that I have no criticism of what Cam did on that play and that I'm glad he didn't try something where he might have hurt himself. Why are you so obsessed with trying to start a fight over it?

Stop lying. We all agreed about what Cam did before you came into the thread to tell us we were all wrong. Adams is the one who stopped immediately and walked away from the camera, Newton did not. He made arm gestures toward TD and then commented to the camera about him.

That's precisely what makes you so annoying. This thread was going along just fine until you showed up, correct? That's what happens in most threads. We have discussion, then you come in and feel compelled to start an argument with me over trivial bullshit because apparently that's how you get your jollies. This is still the best Panthers board around. Places like the Huddle have too much traffic, and any good post gets buried under an avalanche of 20 bad ones.

No, post 28 wasn't offensive but that was when you started the argument by trying to correct me. Posts 35 and 48 were very offensive and rude and offered absolutely nothing to the discussion.

You then accuse Cam of chicken fighting with 96 so he wouldn't have to put forth an effort in chasing down Bostic when 96 clearly held him. No, you're not bias towards Cam at all.

The question is, if you have no criticism of what Cam did why did you feel the need to incorrectly try and correct me. Again, keep in mind I posted the footage so everyone else can see what actually happened on the play.

Once again. I said people were over reacting to what happened. TD never spoke to Adams, he spoke to Cam. This all happened in about 1.5 seconds, he stopped hamming it up and went back to watching the game, he was also standing next the coaches when this all went down. You're trying to portray Cam as a guy that not only ignored TD, but mocked him and then continued to ham it up in front of the camera. And Adams doesn't walk away from the camera at all either, he stands right next to Cam and gives him an "it's OK" butt slap. And the arm gesture you speak of is Cam pointing in TD's direction with his thumb. You're trying to make it sound like he gave him the finger or some other offensive gesture.

You know what makes you annoying. Its that you never just shut your mouth. You always think you're right and have to get the last word in, even in the face of video evidence to the contrary.
