    Halliburton is flying me out to Crawford later tonight for barbeque and a chance to throw rocks at Cindy Sheehan.....

    I understand where you are coming from I think but I think there are certain core values that any church must have for me to have any confidence in it. Hopefully you feel the same way, although your core is probably different. Your first post sounded like you did not care what your child believed in as long as she believed in something.

    I want a solid religion in my daughter's life. However- I was raised Baptist and don't necessarily want the same belief for my daughter as I had where she is raised to feel guilty with hellfire and brimstone sermons, making her believe that any normal thought she has is detrimental to her salvation.


    Just don't get over zealous about the feeling guilty thing. A little guilt is good for everyone. To many brats now days, have no feelings of guilt thanks to mommy who has to visit them in Juvie now.

    So teach her to live by the ten commandments. When she is old enough, she can choose her own religion is she so chooses.
