    Soccer is about the only thing that keeps me going in the summer anymore. Can't wait for the World Cup :ylsuper:

    If you are looking for some gear, you can probably ship it to some friends of mine, but I am not really sure that you are going to be saving much. The best thing to do would be go to soccer.com or something and try to get it there. What are you looking for?

    Didn't they just finish their season? I thought Liverpool won it all.

    Liverpool won the Champions League (Eurpean club championship). That match was in late May or early June and it whipped ass. They came back from a 3-0 deficit to win in penalties.

    I see.

    So they play the Premier league season, then the champion plays in a Champions league? Is that right?

    Now you're talking my game....it's going on right now. In fact next week is the last week of the regualr season. The West Coast Eagles looked like they were going to run away with the league, but Adelaide has pulled to within two games. Eight teams qualify for the playoffs and right now there are seven teams that have a shot at the last three playoff spots.

    It used to be just the Champions, but now more than one team per league can go - I know it's stupid.

    The number of teams that a league gets varries on its coeffecient, which is basically how the teams from that country fair in Europe. The biggest leagues get 4 teams I think.

    So how much does playing in the Champions league stretch out a teams season?

    Not too much. The leagues are laid out to allow for European and Domestic cup competitions. Most European leagues also take a winter break - England doesn't.
