you have GOT to be kidding!
eddie basden is the best defensive player the niners have had in a lloonngg lloonngg time. no one on that team comes anywhere close to basden on defense. didnt he get like 9 steals in one game last year? maybe it wasnt that much, but it was at least 7. and he gets rebounds left and right.

sox, Eddie no doubt gives 100 percent effort, but he is prone to reaching in when he gets beat and does not have the foot speed or shot blocking potential of Grier, imo. I think Vince can score a tad bit more than Eddie because of his slashing too. I love Eddie, but I think Grier is gonna get the nod, unless he gets into some sort of of the court situations.

I bet Eddie starts at the beginning of the season. The end of the season may be a different story. I think they both will have a solid season.

Grier was the most exciting player on our team (and usually on the floor). Well, unless you count kevin johnson popping the 3s. But that was a different kind of excitement.

Withers and Grier had a nice pick and roll worked out at the end of the year. It seemed they were developing ESPN.

I can't believe people actually defended Butter's performance last year. the Pi/fan1 standoff was classic.

I would like to see Clemmons start being a senior and that the power forward seem to be more of his natural position, but not start Withers would be a mistake- the guy going to be a star.
I would have to go with Grier if their defense is consider equal. Grier can be a offense weapon and Basden can not do much on the offense end.

I guess we can close the book on that argument now and chalk up another "w" for PI. I wonder whatever happened to Fan1 aka 'butterlover'. Maybe he transfered with KJ.

Ah, #1 fan will not be missed. I had about enough of her back-handed compliments that were always followed by the "god bless". Hope her son has fun finding a job with tatoos all over his neck.
