    7:31 PT: The Gaston Gazette reports Carolina Panthers CB Terry Fair has not yet unseated CB Reggie Howard as a starter. Fair said he’d relish an opportunity to play against the Detroit Lions this Sunday. They are the team that cut him just two weeks ago. "It’s a very meaningful game for me," said Fair. "I’ve still got a lot of friends and a lot of guys I’m close with on that team, so it’s definitely something I’m looking forward to."

    7:28 PT: The Charlotte Observer reports Carolina Panthers RB Lamar Smith has played against the Lions twice in his career. He's rushed for 273 yards (136.5 per game) averaging 4.8 yards per carry.

    I would expect Fair to see some action this week. Especially on PR, and maybe even KR, Probably get some plays here and there on D. The Lions will try to pick on him to prove a point...he'll make them pay for it if they do!

    Nice numbers for Smith, hope he keeps bowling them over!!!
