How does a guy 6'1" 170 lbs. get destroyed by a guy that is 5'9" 179 lbs? Seems like Bright should have atleast been able to defend himself. Either that or Smith must be one bad son of bitch.

you cut practice players, you don't cut starters. Bright probably didn't even fight back.

I get worried for folks when they seem to believe in the concept above . . . it can get you in serious trouble.
In a fight, experience determination toughness and downright meanness rule over inches and pounds. We have all seen how tough and determined Smith is. Steve has probably had plenty of hands-on fighting experience throughout his life. A guy who has grown up fighting obviously would be more effective in the heat of battle than a more sheltered guy who has only taken a years worth of boxing lessons and only had a dozen major scuffles with his brother. Physical attributes are not the key. If there is one physical component that’s important in a fight its quickness and smaller guys are usually quicker that a bigger guys.
Anyone would be much wiser to go up against some 6’3” 230 pound guy with a standard upbringing than some 5 foot nothin’ hundred and seventy some pound angry kid who has serious issues from surviving an abusive and chaotic past.

I have NO idea what Smith or Brights past is like . . . I’m just trying to make the point that it’s not the size of the dog in a fight that matters, it’s the fight in the dog that counts. Smith is obviously a mean dog with plenty of fight who is willing to go beyond simply surviving the encounter.

You missed the last sentence. "Either that or Smith must be one bad son of bitch."

Reguardless, there's no need to worry about me.
