    Best thing to do is to go swimming in the ocean but Ebson (sp) salts in a warm bath will do. Will dry up the rash pronto.

    Giving him an antihistamine will help with the itch.....Will probably make him drowsy as well, which might be good to help so he doesn't itch. I would try something like the calamine lotion as well to help dry out the sores. You wanna dry out the sores which will help take down the itch.....In rare instances, I have known people to use straight up bleach which helps dry them out, but heard it burns.

    I have tried everything OTC, but it doesn't seem to be going away. :( I don't know what else to do. :thud:

    I'm thinking so(though they told me it was not necessary), it doesn't seem to be drying up. And when it does, it spreads somewhere else.:(

    Poison Ivy takes about 2 weeks to run its course. You just have to wait it out.
