Maybe so. At one point Georgia Southern had a 19 point lead that they let turn into a 15 point loss. 34 unanswered points by Texas St.

Congrats on the win today, App State. If we can get past Richmond and their huge O-linemen tonight, we'll see you in Boone next week.

Northern Iowa. The Panthers knocked off top seeded New Hampshire on the the road, 24-21. Both Texas State and Northern Iowa are tough, but I have a feeling that the winner of Furman/App State, will wind up winning the D1-AA National Championship.

If next week's game is any indication from the last one, Boone will be the scene for Charlie Daniels' hit song "Fire On The Mountain"!!

I was in Boone today and ASU looked really tough. Its gonna be a great game, but with the elements and home field advantage, its gonna be very tough to beat the Mountaineers.

Yeah, Furman won in Greenville in the regular season, but App State was in it until the very end. That was the best game I've seen all year. Furman and App State play tough more often than they don't.

I hope that whoever wins the App State-Furman game takes the championship, but both Texas State and Northern Iowa are super tough. This deep in the playoffs, you find the gritty teams.

Oh, BTW on the issue of the elements: Furman just beat Richmond at Richmond in cold temps and occasional winter mix precipitation.

This is going to be a great game. The best college game I ever seen in person was the Furman/App. St. game last year in Boone. That place is going to be packed.

What time is the game and is it going to be on TV?

It's been thrown around alot whether the game will be played on Friday night because of graduation on Saturday or on Saturday. From what Dr. Peacock, ASU's Chancellor told me...It's looking that the game will be played on Saturday at 12 noon, but don't hold me to that. I also met up with some ESPN people and they told me they would indeed carry the game, but they're not sure if it's gonna be on ESPN, ESPN 2, or ESPNU.

Also, I got a kick out of Dr. Peacock today as he held a sign for ESPNU to put on camera that said to the effect of..

"Hey Adam Sandler, Think We're A Pushover Now?"

I'll tell ya the other part of that sign next week after the conclusion of the Furman/ASU game.
