We're kinda in it!

Makes every game count, especially the division and St Louis.

Also makes a couple of past losses hurt alot worse, namely GB and Seattle. GB also a biggies, b/c you now have to root for them tonight to knock St. Louis back a game. Which means we're clawing for the last WC spot.

But you've gotta think we can have a better record than Dallas, NY Giants, Chicago, and Detroit.

At any rate, we're back in the hunt, if only for one week.

actually, if you suggest that GB loses, and we beat STL, doesn't that help us more?

It is funny how that everything can look lost and unimportant when you are 1-7 but one or two wins would make it all different. If we were 6-5 right now we would be in the drivers seat.

If we run the table we will get in but I look for us to finish 8-8 or 7-9. We have a hard time in Atlanta even when they are bad, which they are not this year.

7-9 or 8-8 and I wouldn't be too awfully disapointed.

Neither would I be if we were 9-7 and missed the post season due to a tie-breaker loss. Though if it were to GB, I'll be thinking the 'what-ifs'.

Considering we would have a decent ending to a horrid injury laiden season, playing with backups and rookies at skill positions like we have been. I'd love to win out, sure. I expect to beat NO 2X. I think we'll win in Tampa. Not sure about St. Louis. I think we'll lose to Vicklanta, but would absolutely love to make them look bad on national TV to redeem ourselves somewhat. But as much as I hate them, I think they are a better team at the moment than we are, especially with our injuries and personel.

The more I look at the schedule and tiebreakers, I think 8-8 can get us in, assuming we beat St. Louis.

Somebody with some time should post the remaining games of the contenders for the WC spots. I think that would show a better picture of the reality of the situation, and who we must root for between now and week 17.

    Vikes(7-4):
    @ Bears
    Seattle
    @ Lions
    GB
    Redskins

    Seattle(6-5):
    Dallas
    at Minnesota
    at New York Jets
    Arizona
    Atlanta

    GB(6-4):
    St. Louis (Tonight)
    at Philly
    Lions
    Jax
    at Minn
    at Bears

    St. Louis(5-5):
    GB (tonight)
    49ers
    @ Panthers
    @ Cardinals
    Eagles
    Jets

    Giants(5-6):
    @ Redskins
    @ Ravens
    Steelers
    @ Bengals
    Dallas

    Dallas(4-7):
    @ Seattle Seahawks
    NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
    @ Philadelphia Eagles
    WASHINGTON REDSKINS
    @ NY Giants

    Bears(4-7):
    Vikings
    @ Jaguars
    @ Lions
    Packers

    Lions(4-7):
    ARIZONA CARDINALS
    at Green Bay Packers
    MINNESOTA VIKINGS
    CHICAGO BEARS
    at Tennessee Titans

I think these are who we would be in contention with, so what does the above mean?

I am assuming zona would'nt be there assuming we'd have the tiebreaker against them with the same record.

I am also assuming NO and TB have no bearing because in order to be in the hunt, we'd have to beat them thus putting them out.

There are lots of head to head amongst those teams above.

I see Vikes (12-4) winning North division. Hope they beat GB and Seattle. Prolly will.

GB (10-6) WC spot, beats rams, lions, Jax, bears.

Seattle (8-8) could very well only beat Dallas and Zona.

St Louis (8-8) could only beat 49ers, Zona and Jets. (assuming we beat them). They win the west with a tiebreaker with Seattle.

Giants (7-9) only beats skins and Dallas.

Dallas (6-10) only beats NO and skins, if the beat NO.

Lions (6-10) only beat cardinals and bears.

Cardinals and Bears are put out by most above.

So if we can manage to only lose one (Vicklanta), we're in if Seattle wins their division (but they have lost to rams 2X and zona- and still play them). Lets hope we get help from Zona! If we lost 2, we're out. I think we're out if we win all but St. Louis, unless they win their division. But I'm not sure about a tie breaker between us and Seattle at 8-8, if the rams win the west.

Wow, even in the best case scenario, all except Philly and Atlanta and possibly GB and Vikes will have some shitty records. The NFC looks bad.
