How much would Ponson from Baltimore help them if the trade goes down?

yes. maddux is starting to come around, and will once again win 15+. hampton is gonna hit a stride here pretty soon. and ramirez has looked pretty damn good all season. i've been impressed. besides, they're gonna pick up another starter, so they'll be just fine.

The way he is pitching this year he will help any playoff contender but the Orioles are trying to lock him up for a few more years. And even if the O's decide to trade him the Braves will have competition to get him. Yanks, BoSox, White Sox, Giants and Reds are all supposedly after him.

Forget that trade. They will pull the trigger for Kelvin Escobar from Toronto for Ted Lilly and a minor leaguer tomorrow. They were this close to getting Brian Giles until the Bucs insisted on packaging Jason Kendall in the mix. That is Jason Kendell and his 10 million a year contract for the next 4 years. Oakland said no thanks, like everyone else

Jealous of who? The Phillies have the same number of championships since 1980 as do the under achieving Braves. Oh and we have a 2.5 game lead in the wild card over the D-Backs. Next topic?
