It's been 8 years. For some reason I remembered the Nets series as a first round series, I didn't remember that amazing Orlando series as the last hurrah so to speak. Anyone remember that amazing Baron Davis shot before OT of Game 4 I think that didn't count? I will go to my grave believing that shot should have counted, what an amazing fling. They actually changed the last second shot rule because of that shot, it was disallowed just because of a rule, not because of anything supported on the tape or by people's eyes.

Anyway, got tickets to Game 3 next Saturday. I've never been to an NBA Playoff game so I'm psyched. The last few times I've been to the arena the atmosphere has been great. If we can steal a game in Orlando that place will be electric come Game 3.

man, you will love the playoff atmosphere. I went to the last two games and the crowd was loud as hell at times. also entertaining was Stephen Jackson having words with the bulls bench, del negro and kirk heinrich half the game.

I remember that orlando series. that is when I learned what an overrated crybaby tracy mcgrady is. when they lost it was because of his bad back and then he commented how he didnt have the surronding cast Baron Davis had.

one of my favorite playoff memories was when the Hornets fucking destroyed the miami heat in a 3 game sweep. headbands everywhere.

I remember being in Section 203 to watch Alonzo Mourning drain that three to beat Boston in 4 games. i think that was the greatest moment in the history of the Hornets. I have never heard a basketball arena freak out so much in my life. Those were the days. Just watching this Orlando game. My God Raymond Felton sucks. He's looked weak all year, but the Bobcats need a good guard and a solid 5. Their wings are great but the point position is definitely a weakness

Felton played better in the second half but he got smoked.

Funny cause all weekend I was telling my gf that NBA Playoff basketball is great. A team tries to find a weakness and if they do they just exploit the shit out of it all game/series. So imagine my surprise in the first half of the first game when freaking Jameer Nelson has 19 pts.

Sucks. I hope we're able to adjust. We fought hard and legitimately got back in the game but a 22 pt hole is too much to overcome.

Lucky that Jack wasn't seriously hurt. Crash was running around and leaping everywhere tonight, couldn't believe that board he had where Howard smacked him in the head.

Charles Barkley was saying at half time that it would not make any difference if they did get Howard in foul trouble. Shows what he knows I guess.

Good to see them fight back and make it a game. Maybe they will be ready from the start in game two.

He was trying to say we don't have a center to take advantage of a 'lack of Dwight Howard' which is true. But yeah the part about not worrying if Howard got in foul trouble was pretty stupid, not sure what he was going with there. Howard's value is on the defensive end, he'll likely never be a dominant scorer but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter if he gets in foul trouble. Just like with Mutombo, you love to get Howard in foul trouble. He's a game changer on the defensive side.

However, he also said we're a jump shooting team which I don't think is true. We've got finishers around the basket but they aren't centers. So obviously Howard can just come over and block our layups which is exactly what happened in the first half. We don't have a quality 5 so Howard can cheat over and help on all penetrations.

Once he got in foul trouble we were able to score a lot better inside which led to some open jumpshots.

Ummm, Howards offensive game is a LOT better than Mutombo at any point in his career. But yes, the production from the 5 for Charlotte was dreadful on a good day.
