You're catching on. I like it. No 8th round pick reference, though.

Minus the 40 time, of course.

I'd like to see us go:

1st rd Julius Peppers DE UNC-no brainer

2nd rd Mike Rumph CB Miami-best available CB

3rd rd Lamar Gordon RD North Dakota State-decent speed, runs hard

4th rd Joaquin Gonzalez OT Miami-some one to light a fire under Terry's ass or replace him

5th rd Matt Schoebel TE TCU-Walls eventual replacement

6th rd-Charles Stackhouse FB Ole Miss-a battering ram FB like we need

7th rd-Willie Ford CB Syracuse-another gunner to go with Cooper

I really don't see any DT's that I like past round three and the guys that would possibly develop into starters for us will be gone by then anyway.

I'll take Nate Dwyer in the top of the 4th if he's still there. Or maybe a little bit of Jenkins old teammate Charles Hill.

Piper, your thoughts on the rest?

First two I've endorsed in this thread.

I'd rather have Wells over Gordon, but that's just a preferance for a big back. I like Gordon at that value, he's big enough and durable, good speed, not a fumbler.

Gonzalez, not great measurables, but I like his mean streak on that side. I'd be happy with that.

For a tight end, I like Doug Jolley better there. He really impressed me the few times I watched BYU. He seems to be rising though.

I'll take Stackhouse, you might need to grab him a round earlier though. I'd like to get either him, Martin, or Bartholomew.

Ford - I can only parrott. TSN called him a good gunner huh? Well, I'll take a shot at a special teamer I guess.

Yeah, I like Jolley also, but I like Schoebel's ability to get deep a little more. Jolley may be off the board by the time we pick again though.

I thought I'd read somewhere that Wells was putting on some weight and some scouts were beginning to look at him as a FB now. Have you heard anything on that?

Gonzalez would be a massive improvement over Tuten at the least and could give Terry a run for his job at best. He could possibly move in for Stuessie in a couple of years also.

The 7th round pick is always a crap shoot anyway, so I looked for some one who could help on Special Teams.

I like Joaquin also but I've been quiet on him since we changed from the WCO. Tends to make me want to get someone with real beef. I still think he's a very special lineman and will probably be in the league for a good long while.
