"Coach Fox, is this Mike Martz. I'd like to trade you our late first rounder and our early second for the #2 overall"

"Uh, but you don't have an early second rounder."

    "Oh yeah."

I've thought about everyone who might trade up. In the end, I don't think anyone will call for our pick.

Very impressive Piper. I can't really find ANY picks that aren't logical. CB in round 2 for the Panthers is what I would say as well. I agree that if Detroit wants Jammer they will look to move down. SD wants McKinnie (who can blame them).

On another note - I'd like to see everyones top 5 players in the draft (regardless of position) who will have the biggest impact in the NFL.

    Here are mine...
    1) Bryant McKinnie - could be a Hall of Famer. He is already good enough to be a pro bowler, but with improvement he'll be one of the best ever.
    2) Roy Williams - this guy is an awesome playmaking defender who can hurt you in so many ways. He will become another John Lynch against the run, and will also be great in the passing game as well. I love this guy as a playmaker.
    3) Peppers - has the most upside in the draft. He has a lot of room to improve on what is already an awesome package. Sky is the limit with him.
    4) Albert Haynesworth - great size and athletic ability. A better all around prospect than Henderson. He isn't the player Henderson is right now, but his upside is greater IMO.
    5) Lito Sheppard - I know I gonna hear something about this one, but I truely believe he's the best playermaker of the CB prospects. He just has enormous playmaking talent, although his height scares some scouts and he isn't the most physical tackler in the world, this guy can flat out shut you down. He is still raw, but the talent he has could make him better than Jammer in a couple of years. He really has to apply himself and want it - to overtake a player as solid/versitile as Jammer, but I really think he can be that good.

BTW: Here is my guess at the Dolly Parton specials... (busts)
Also, why I think they might faulter...
    1) Stallworth - workout warrior
    2) K. Edwards - injuries/interests outside of fb
    3) Antonio Bryant - character problems
    4) David Carr - might be ok but not top pick franchise type
    5) Foster - character issues/fumbling/injuries

You're probably right... however, if Coach Fox gives me a call, I will suggest he try real hard to make that trade...

I don't believe so. Haynesworth is an amazing athlete, no doubt, but too many things disturb me. With single blocking all year, he would go unnoticed for plays on end. He doesn't move as well laterally, compared to Henderson in 2000. Henderson in 2001, with the ankle sprain, that took away most of his lateral movement and quickness for the season.

Add to that, other than his gut, the only measurable Albert beat Henderson at the TN pro day is was his 40 time. He did less 225 bench presses (only 18), was less impressive in drills, jumps, ect. And he's not as "likeable" as Henderson, doesn't give off the same work ethic. Albert took a bit of a fall in his only workout so far.

Henderson is still the better all around athlete. The injuries have made him more human, but even superman had kryptonite.

But anyway, my top 5 on upside, regardless of position.

    1. Peppers - Could be a Strahan with speed.
    2. McKinnie - Wingspan of a condor
    3. Henderson - Going to make some teams look foolish, particuarly if they draft Albert ahead of him
    4. Buchanon - For all Jammer's size, this guy is an amazing athlete
    5. Duckett - For a mid-round guy, this guy has a lot of upside

Stallworth- If he can stay healthy, he will make an impact.

The other problem with Stallworth is his concentration. He'll make a very difficult catch, and then drop the easy one. And running in traffic, he can make plays, but he has a problem with fumbling.

But he was productive on the field. He made Sheldon Brown and your boy Lito look silly a couple of times.

Yea, I know how much you love Big John. He is a bad man.

BTW: Have you seen the Sporting News Draft Guide?

Yeah, I did get that. Good picture of Big John.

And yes, I'm very partial to him. He gave up millions of dollars to try and give us a championship, then played through a severe injury to give us a better chance to win. If we had more like him, we'd have gotten it done.

I just think teams are having a short memory with Henderson, Like that guy from Green Bay. Look at the tapes from the previous years. And then tell me Henderson doesn't move better laterally. TSN's right about one thing. Henderson got the double teams. Haynesworth got single blocking.

He'll still get paid more than I'll ever make. But as he said, "Money comes and goes. Champions are forever." Pay attention folks. Big John is coming.

    Rant off.

You may be right, I can't decide. :D I just see Haynesworth as a guy with an awful lot of physical talent as well. No question John Henderson is a super player and, as you stated, a real leader on and off the field. He seems a bit stiff to me at times, but if you say that is due to nagging injuries - then you certainly would know more than I. Henderson should definately make a team really happy. You have got to love the guys attitude, no questions there.
