and anyone else, whats your thoughts on the qb situation at tennessee? i have always been against shuffling qb's, but i think in this circumstance it works. their games are so different that it works for them.

i'm still undecided on which one i like the best. i wish they would let schaeffer throw a bit more. we're getting predictable.

I think the problem is getting Schaefer to pull the trigger. Even when he cocks back, he looks like he's decided to run.
    Hard to say, honestly.

i think you answered your own question.

Give it to Ainge. He showed some athletic ability, he's picking up the offense a little faster it seems, gets out of the huddle faster and does the checks.

Schaeffer had trouble seeing the blitz, and I think he has trouble seeing the field. He has a nice arm, and is exciting, but he's not Vick. Not that fast, not that strong an arm.

I was leaning toward Schaeffer in the near term, and they may still split time. But long term Ainge may be better, and right now he seems better short term too.

Edit- Mags, yeah. He's 6'2, which isn't bad, but not great. That part of the reason I think he's holding onto the ball. I think its one of those one read, second read, then go deals.

Yep. Ainge can be the more efficient QB, I guess.

i'll lean towards schaeffer, then ainge. i'm goin back and forth here. if its nfl, gimme a pocket guy anyday, but i still think in college, a scrambler is where its at. on the other hand, with the OL and running game we have, an accurate pocket passer may be the better fit.

efficiency doesn't always matter as much with the college game. They could get away with it. But does it have a future?
