Theres only one "MUST HAVE" game on the 360 that isn't available on the PS3 - Gears of War.

Well I take that back, Bioshock was nice too. But that's kinda offset by Drake's Fortune and Resistance Fall of Man on PS3. Soon (this spring for all), PS3 will have Killzone 2, MGS4, and Haze which may actually give it an edge on exclusive titles.

The biggest drawback for a PS3 is unquestionably xbox live (vs the PS network). Sure you have to pay for it, but dear god, that's the easiest $50 a year I will normally ever spend. I see that PS network is trying to emulate some features of XBL, but it still has a long way to go.

PS3 has what appears to be the defacto next gen format in Blu Ray, which is the main reason I went out and got one a month ago. If someone had neither console right now, and wanted to buy one, if they were into movies, I would definately recommend a PS3. If they were solely into games, I might still recommend the PS3, due to the hardware reliability, and vastly accelerated pace the games are coming out for it now.

Gears of War, Halo 3, Mass Effect, and Bioshock. It is not even close. I've played Resistance and Folklore, both are solid, but neither come close to any Xbox exclusive.

Haven't played Uncharted yet, but I want to. By the way, games aren't coming out faster for PS3, games that are multiplatform are coming out later or holding up releases because programmers are having such a hard time developing for the system.

Culdcept Saga comes out on the 6th, super excited about that. If Lost Odyssey is tight (unlike Blue Dragon), then Xbox will continue their dominance. Let's not forget all the downloadable content that will be exclusive to Xbox for GTA and exclusive games like Ninja Gaiden II, Alone in the Dark, Condemned II, TOo Human, World in Conflict, etc.

The first year xbox 360 games weren't much special either, and the ps3 just got done with a slower first year than the 360 had. The quality of multiplatform games is pulling closer to even with the 360 as developers get used to the ps3. Even EA has said that games made on the ps3, then shared with the 360 have been better for both, rather than porting from the 360. They did this with Burnout Paradise.

I was talking about how xbox live and dashboard integration is better than the ps3. Xbox Live is so much better it's laughable. You can't even send or read messages from in a game, or see what people on your friends list play on the ps3. The Home stuff that's coming out also looks like a waste. I'd rather just be able to open a menu and look at gamer achievements or send messages to friends, than use a lame avatar to walk around to apartments to look at trophies and whatever other shit.

Oh I agree that XBL is way better too, but seriously, exclusives for the PS3 suck.

Yeeeeeeeeeaaaah. You are into some strange shit. Maybe 360 has the strange segment on lockdown. I don't even know what Folklore is. I purposely left Halo 3 off because it was just a rehash of the first 2 games. Graphics didn't impress me, gameplay was same as it was on the original xbox. Bioshock definately counts, and GOW is the best FPS that has come along in a long time. Killzone 2 might rival it, based on the gameplay trailers I've seen. The spellcasting, sword-waving WOW shit is not my thing.

You clearly know a lot about video games and your opinion should be trusted. I can see why you like the PS3 better.

lol I'd never touch a mmorpg

A Bioware space rpg though, yes sign me up. I'll probably play it through at least three times, more if I really enjoy it as much as I have so far (I'm not far into it at all.)
