Big series for the Phil started tonight. The Braves have been gang busters all year while the Phillies have struggled with runs. Game one is in the books and the Phillies win. Did my eyes dceive me or wasn't Maddox suppose to start on Tuesday? Did he get pushed back to go against Millwood? Phils need a sweep badly

Wednesday it's Ortiz verses Millwood. Hate this. Have Ortiz in my 13 team keeper league and Millwood in my 7 team work league.

If you look at their season to date performance, Ortiz is the man, not Greg, though he has been better lately. Greg was a hard-luck loser his last outing, allowing 2 runs over 7 innings.

Thome is doing better than I thought so far. he is a notoriously slw starter and yet he has 14 or so HRs so far. The biggest disappointment so far has been Pat Burrell. Batting around 200 all year. He is usually good for 280 and 30-40 HR's. That and Jimmy Rollins strikes out way too much. He recently got dropped from his usual leadoff spot.

sounds like they have the case of "dodgeritis"....gotta good team, but couldn't generate offense if life depended on it....dodgers have the best team overall e.r.a, but the worse offense in MLB.

I benched Millwood in local league and went with Ortiz in the larger keeper league. So far I guessed rt as it's 6-0. Lack of damn run support torpedoes Millwood again. Waiting on a Mt Bowa eruption within 2 weeks

    Part two!

    Pitching Probables
    Tuesday
Kevin Millwood 8-5 3.9 era verses Russ Ortiz 8-4 3.56 era

    Wednesday
Vincent Padilla 5-7 3.57 era verses Mike Hampton 3-3 3.59 era

    Thursday
Randy Wolf 8.3 3.29 era verses Greg Maddox 6-6 4.31 era

Personally I see the Phillies taking games 1 and 3. Mike Hampton is living proof that Leo Mazzone should be in the HOF. Hamptons era of 3.59 is incredible considering how messed up he has been the past three years. His record of 3-3 tells me the bullpen has been screwing him. When is the last time you have seen Maddox with an era over 4? Wolf is 2-0 with a era of 2.61 over his last 3 starts. Wish I could go see one of the games
