Larry, I haven't seen anything yet, saying where Rivers did this. If he truly did, being the family man, and good guy he is, I am sure that would be said somewhere.

I agree with Franchise here LarryD. Where else can I read about this?? Surely one of these Sportswriters would love to bring down an All American squeaky clean family man. Or maybe Warchant, where PR is getting nothing but love.

Re: Re: philip rivers is a punk

he was doing it when ncstate had gone up 20-10 (i think that was fsu's score) -- it was just before halftime. he wasn't doing it because he was pissed or anything, he did it because the fans were all yelling (it is the student side behind the bench) and he had just scored a TD -- he was pumped up and not thinking. i like a guy that gets into the game. believe me, i was very surprised to see him doing it -- i thought it was the backup kicker or a freshman tight end. but it was #17.

you don't get into it with the fans. you just don't. that's why i say he's a punk. i didn't say he was a bad qb, in fact, to the contrary i said he was a very good qb. but i've never seen an opposing quarterback, much less a senior starter and heisman trophy candidate pull that crap.

well, florida's doug johnson did try to hit bobby bowden in the head with a football...

and TA is a pussy because he ALWAYS gets hurt. just like parcells calling terry glenn "she". i didn't say that mclendon was a horrible back, but he's about as injury prone as my grandmother. it's not like he's got a nagging ankle injury or something -- he's had like five different injuriies in just a couple of years.

i'd take rivers over rix ANY DAY.

you won't see any sportswriters writing about it because they were up in the press box, not down there sitting behind the ncstate bench like i was.

again, phillip rivers = very good quarterback.

    very good game.

with $9,000,000 on the line, amato should have kicked the field goal. saying that he just didn't want to spend the whole night there playing overtimes is ridiculous. when you've got a qb like rivers going against a qb like rix? i'll take rivers every time.

I'm not saying I dont believe you, but I am sure with the way Phillip is, and the good rep. he carries, I am sure that would have been a topic, there would have been an article or something, somewhere...I just find that hard to believe....(with all due respect tho boss)
