Anyone seen this? The newest screen version just out today in theaters. One of my coworkers saw it today and said it was phenomenal! She is from NYC, Jersey shore, and saw the stage production on Broadway and says that this movie is as good as it gets for a screen adaptation of such an extravagant stage musical. The music was from the original score and the singing was clearer than in the Broadway show. The acting is wonderful and the story is dead on and quite a tear-jerker.

We at Chick-Fil-A and our families get to see all movies for free, since we work at the mall... and since we are always off on Sundays, We all get to see lots of free movies! :) I can't wait to see this one!

I got free tickets. Someone who usually never forwards emails forwarded me an email, and I just had to send it to 3 people and movie tickets popped out of my printer. Give me your address if you want some free tickets.

They should rename it "Andrew Lloyd Webber presents Emmy Rossum's Cleavage" but I'm perfectly fine with that :xyzthumbs

I really did enjoy it though. Can anyone explain the "keep your hand at the level of your eye" thing? I must have missed something.

I hope they improved the music orchestration/added supporting parts for the movie version. The original music was voiced very thin, IMO. Like they cut financial corners by cutting down on music parts/voices. However, the leads(singing) were spectacular; especially the soprano singer that does those really high parts, wow (reminded me of the soprano part in Rocky Horror...). It's all performed great, they just needed better orchestration, rather than more volume, JMO.
