After signing DE Mike Rucker to a new deal, we hear the Panthers are also thinking about doing the same thing with OLG Jamar Nesbit, SLB Hannibal Navies and FB Brad Hoover — provided the level of their play doesn’t regress.

Interesting, only surprise is Navies, but not from poor play, rather injuries. Fields, morgan, Navies, Witherspoon, Towns. That's pretty strong.

Granted it's not the most fair comparison ever, but the difference between Navies' play and Morgan/Fields' play is fairly large. I don't know I'd necessarily keep him but all the same we only have three of these guys under contract after the year.

Nesbit, IMO, is a major priority to resign. Hoover's earned a deal and has certainly said he wants it.

They have stated more than once that they want to draft and resign as opposed to signing big $ FA in the future. That a sound idea but Navies hasn't shown much of anything in terms of getting on the field and staying there. Better not give him much of a deal and I wouldn't make it long term either. Nesbit is ok and good enough to resign IMO. Hoover at least worked himself into a nice FB in the offseason. He is worth a resign too.

I got no problem with a long deal with Navies as long as its low on the up front money. Make him earn it.

I’m still going to pimp Navies. He’s fast, and fills the role we need from that position. He got challenged by a rookie and a vet Del Rio brought in and beat them out for that spot. If he can stay healthy this year, I got no problem bringing him back.

How long is Fields signed for? Nesbit is a huge deal to get done. Would be nice to have him and Mitchell signed for a few years. Hey Piper you going to game this weekend?

Got to go to my wife's parents house this weekend. They've been asking us to come up for a while.

Dammit, I don't think he's got Direct TV.

I tell yall, being able to watch all the games kicks ass. I guess the blackout would still apply to yall though.

Mitchell is signed for three years past this one. Yep, Fields two years past this one. As well Jenkins will have two more years, Grant I believe will have one. Buckner will be in his last year as well. Obviously Fair will be FA since he signed a one year deal.

Navies and Terry are our FAs on the OL. James would be an RFA, and I figure they'll overspend on him giving him the 1st round compensation so he can stay and start. Donnalley will be cut for $1.1 million to cover most of that, you assume.

Black out would still apply, unless you told DirecTV you moved and changed your zip code. It would screw up your local channels though, but really, what's more important?
