Ok, maybe Navy is different. My nephew went to Annapolis, and didn't do any of that shit. He's also some sort of covert marine with long hair and a beard, so it's not like he has a desk job.

I stiil think Tepper’s impatience will drive a trade up, possibly way up for a QB. I wonder what those present at the combine thought of the Big 4 in comparison to the other.

With Carr gone now, and everyone expecting us to move up (I hate the idea), but what do you think would be better?

Trade with Chicago. Brian Burns and a 2nd
Trade with Chicago. Three 1st rounders and a 3rd this year

After all the speculation these past few weeks, I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth it to trade up. If Young was a little bigger I would understand. Stroud looks pretty good. But I would hate to see us trade up for either of the developmental prospects.

I few years ago, the top QBs were Trevor Lawrence, Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and Mac Jones. As prospects, that group was much better than the current crop, and still only three went in the top 10. I think someone will be available at #9, so if we don't go to at least #3 we should just stay put. And is CJ or Bryce really worth the investment it will take to get there?

True. There is no Lawrence, and Jones will probably even amount to more in his career than any '23 QB. Fields is a good RB, Wilson is Levis with less of a "cannon" but i think they will both carry out similarly unimpressive stents in the NFL. Who knows about Lance. .. Seems pretty similar to Stroud to me, and I think that they will likely both be decent starters eventually. AR "looks" the part but did not show dominance like Cam did at Auburn so any comparisons should cease right there.
If Carolina is really so hard up to acquire a young talented QB maybe they should just swap pick #9 for Lance.

I heard this morning and it was pure speculation that mac jones to the raiders and Rodgers to the Patriots. I bet Belichick's head would explode dealing with Rodgers flightiness
