You may be right. But he will have a much tougher road than Cam.

1. With Cam, most of the talking heads assumed at first he'd fail. His success so far has been a surprise to the media. Luck OTOH, is expected to be elite; which he may well do but any slips along the way will turn the pressure up more.

2. Here, let's be honest,we've never had much of a QB. Buerlien and Delhomme are your bright spots. Hell, Cam already has team records as a rookie. Luck, most likely is replacing Peyton Manning; whether he sits first or Peyton goes. "Peyton did this, Peyton did that." "why'd we only win 12 games, Peyton averaged 13?" "Peyton would've changed the play", and so on.

There are more variables than just talent. Steve Young never really got out of Montana's shadow. It takes a pretty strong and determined individual to overcome following a legend. Kinda like the way Purrsy followed Thelt, it took some hard work but Purrsy defied the odds to become the biggest moron on TBR.
