If, on Sept 3, you'd have said "after game 6 the Panthers will be 3-3" I'd have been happy.

If, on Sept 3, you'd have said "after week six the Panthers will have, statistically, the #1 defense in the NFL" I'd have cum in my pants.

If, on Sept 3, you'd have said that Julius Peppers will have 6 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and a pick - I'd have shit my pants.

So yeah, our offense sucks. We all knew that.

Yeah, our secondary gave up huge plays that cost us games in the final few minutes. That was a concern as well.

    Still - we're better than I thought we'd be.

I still want to puke. But all of the above is very true.

dude- you just cured my piss poor sunday. thanks bro.

and also- our total loss margin is 7 total points- thats 2.67 pts per loss. we just got to tweak the O and clamp down on the D- and i still "like our chances."

    True.

But its a tough way to lose games. 4 and 2 sounds a lot better going into the meat of our schedule.

Yeah I'm looking to see if Semperfi posts his "Positives" thread like he did last year... even still good job meat.

i understand that everyone's pissed that we've blown games. But damn, we apparently have gotten spoiled. We've won two more games then last year and defensively we've shown huge improvement. I'd be sick to my stomach if we lost the rest of our games, but it's still improvement from last year. just think, we've got a good bit of our d locked up.

That is very true, however, if we stayed aggressive with the D playcalling we could EASILY be 6-0 right now.
I'll have that thinking by mid week, but still, 6-0 if games were only 55 minutes long?

sorry, meat. thanks for trying but i don't think anything is gonna make me feel better. i am so fuckin depressed. i think we have upset the football gods and they are playing with us. they let us completely dominate teams for 55 minutes so they can really break our hearts when they snatch the game from us in the closing seconds. even if i wasn't before yesterday, i am now certain that we will never win a game again. not sure what is worse. losing when you have a pathetic team or losing when you have a good team. until yesterday, i still felt there was hope. losing to the cowgirls . . . well, shit woudn't matter now if we won the rest of our games.

on the bright side, nobody in my family died yesterday. my dog is still limping pretty badly though.

Of course, but nobody expected us to be 3-3 anyway. Not me.

So now we've got 5 division games in a row. I'm thinking Weinke will get the nod. Foster will be back in the fold.

It's early, and we're 2 games back and about to play 5 division games in a row.

    Hope is not yet lost.....ahhhhh.

Weinke or Peete, doesn't matter. To beat these teams, we will have to score more a bit more, and that means Henning is going to have to trust his QB, whoever he is.
