I use and like Quicken. I haven't used Money so I can't compare the two for you.

Quicken is more detailed, Money is considered a lil easier to use.

Yeah keep the register on your check book and keep an expandofile to throw the bills in when they come in the mail. Doing it on the computer is just an unecessary pain in the ass the falls into disuse the month after you set it up.

    amen....

'course it kinda' helps when you only have like 4 bills a month...

and you're a greedy spendthrift - those make budgeting easy.

Been using Quicken since the first version was launched. Been doing First Onion download into quicken since they started that, at least 7 or more years ago. That alone saves my ass. The wife and I use the Checkcard like crazy. Nothing is missed when transactions are downloaded into quicken.

Money may be as good never tried it.

Use Microsoft Money, especially if you aren't familiar with these things....way more user friendly

I had to use both when I was in charge of our online services. Quicken basically stopped adding features, whereas Money is always improving. Downloading and reporting is alot easier. Layout is better.

I've been upgrading every other year basically with Quicken. They usually make a lot of nice upgrades.
