Anyone know anything in depth about it. As young as I am I scared when my heart starts acting up.

Holy crap, Brain. Do you seriously have pericarditis? Here's an overview from WebMD.com...

Lots more good info there, too.

Pretty sure. Going to have an echocardiogram (sp?) Tues to see if my doctor was right, but so far looks like it. Chest been hurting. Getting dizzy spells and my BP and pulse are outta control. Right now I'm on an anti inflammitory. To get it knocked down and BP medicine until the inflammation goes down.

I had SVT in middle school, but nothing this serious. It's never too early to check on your heart.

I have aortic stenosis. Having heart issues is stressful but once you understand it you can handle it just fine. Just make sure you ask what ever you want. Don’t hold back. I get freaked out every now and then about my stuff and Im waiting for the day when I need another operation but don’t let it get you down or hold you back.

Brain, pericarditis is an entirely different pain from a heart attack but any chest pain should not be overlooked. It isn't so so unusual for someone to have heart attacks at an early age, I don't know when my first one was, the second was at 42. As for the blood pressure, take those pills if the doctor says to continue doing so. I've taken some sort of daily BP medication for 30 years. I knew for many years that I was a cardiqac candidate from my family health history.

I don't know that you ever completely handle it HW. The demons remind me of it daily, sometimes when I take the pills, sometimes when I see the 7" scar in the mirror, sometimes when I put that bottle of nitro in my pocket. I do know that without 3 pieces of leg vein and a mammary artery I wouldn't be typing this now. Oh, I must not forget that a wonderful medical staff and $85,585.51 didn't hurt either.

We are coming up on 7 years since the heart attack (10/17) and two years since my bypass surgery (10/11). I feel like I've lived more than a lifetime since then... but I am alive.

Brain, do as the doctor tells you. You can pay now or really pay later.

Got back from a follow up today. Swelling has gone down alot. My BP is still high for some odd reason. Higher than normal, and that's even more odd due to the fact I've been on the BP meds. She's doubling the amount of mgs of BP meds per day, and I don't have to go back for 3 months. That's a good thing because that means I'm at least that safe at this point.

PS- thanks for all the well wishes from everyone in this thread and to those that thought it but didn't write it. I've been that person that's prayed, but never said anything in the past myself, so that's fine.
