simple as hell and everyone LOVES them.

i container of premade vanilla frosting -12oz
peanut butter of your choice (i like reese's) use about 16oz
*chocolate, i use the colored, dark, and white as well as the plain milk chocolate.

stir in a meduim size bowl, it will become VERY thick. thick enough that you can roll it into egg shapes easily in your hand.

lay the shaped eggs on wax paper, set aside

melt your base chocolate - i start with one color, say milk chocolate - roll as many eggs in said color that you wish.

use a fork and make sure the eg is covered completely. set back on the wax paper. let harden, less than 10 mins. tops. if you like more chocolate you'll want to get a 2nd coat of choc. on it, i personally don't bother.

**melt a 2nd color chocolate - use the fork you stir the chocolate with to drizzle over the already covered eggs. this is only for decoration. again, after 10 mins. they'll be stiff and you can transfer them to a serving tray.

put them in the fridge if they are around for more than a day;)

everyone loves these damn eggs and no one believes how easy they are to make. seriously if you try making them people will think you did so much work. lmao, simple as hell i tell you.

** there is no need for the other colors other than show.

    * i use the candy chocolate, it melts smoother and sets up nicer than regular chocolate chips do. you can even get this in the walmart in the crafts section.

Are you saying/making a confectionery delight into egg shapes; or, are you coating real eggs with chocolate & peanut butter?

    [I can't imagine mixing chocolate, pb and eggs...that's sick. ;) ]

    try making them once.

go see if you have any icing in the closet, i know you'll have peanut butter. just mix equal amounts (maybe 2 Tb. of each), you'll be amazed how easiely it sets up. it's a bit sweet for my tastes but they're yummy.

No icing in the pantry...I make homemade icing. I'll need to buy some if I want to make these.

no you don't. i assume you make buttercream icing. you can use homemade it will just make it stickier to roll them. the premade is just quick and has the preservatives already in there.
