It's an incredibly stupid thing to say at a press conference. What's crazy is that the reporter was heaping undue praise on Funchess. If she was ripping a teammate, I could sorta get Cam firing back at her with that remark (and I actually might like it) but she was being complementary. Funchess hasn't become a better player, he's just getting more targets with Olsen out. It was just a random, stupid, crazy remark by Cam.

 

He's a moron. I'm not shocked at all by this. I don't like it. But definitely not shocked. He always snaps at these guys (and her).

 

But he was a beast at New England. That matters too.

 

Peyton Manning draped his balls on some girl's nose one time. But he never mocked a female reporter on camera. Cam is just an odd, kinda anti-social cunt. What we signed on for.

It's made worse by the fact that it was completely unnecessary. It was like the pick he threw against Kansas City last year. Just a heave into double coverage towards a media that already hates him. Grow the fuck up.

 

Yea. I just re-examined this whole deal. What horrible timing and judgement, more than anything.

 

He represents this franchise on a high level. He brings other team leaders into this crap when it becomes trends a bit. Just one of many reasons to avoid this kind of shit. Needless risk.

 

Issue an apology and move on. Nobody will care in a week. Easy solution. A punt isn't a bad play here.

 

If cam was white and the reporter was a black woman, that would be red meat.
