I'd rather have Peppers and Jenkins than having your white dick get kissed.

Anybody going to answer why the best defensive linemen this team has ever had have wanted to leave?

it's tough. I believe in him as a player. I believe he has talent, heart, and want.

I also believe in this system, which is a good one. I believe in our franchise, it's a good one. I believe in our coach, and he's a good one. I believe that this is a team sport, not a bunch of random players standing around waiting for Player X to make a huge play.

It sucks to hear him say he doesn't believe in our system, or hear rumors that he doesn't buy into Fox when we've got guys who do and will continue to. He's not our team and in the end I can't choose him over team.

Also kinda sucks for guys like Minter to come out talking about Peppers v/s the team, not really say anything helpful, when a guy like that's the model for what you'd want speaking for the team (as opposed to just speaking) - a guy who knew he was a part of the team and not just a guy for hire.

maybe it's linked. He sees the success Jenkins had early in the year. Maybe he'd sided with Jenkins, being a friend, and feels like that same path out is his path out.

I have no idea, though. I have to imagine there's something to that, given that another player recently went to a different scheme in search of huge dollars and a bigger city.

It sucks more since it isn't about the money. I don't think its like Jenks, wanting a bigger market, more media, as Peppers is fairly private. Which leaves the team/staff/scheme.

I've wondered about that. Buckner, Rucker, Jenkins...those were the guys he was comfortable with and one by one they disappeared. Maybe some sense of "things ain't what they used to be."

yeah, it's tough. I hate to hear one of our best "doesn't buy in", when there's 44 other active guys who give their all and buy in. If one guy decides he doesn't care anymore, I don't want that tainting the others.
