    market value over the last couple years had been either a 2 or a 3 and 5 for that level DT. I think we got out OK, but not incredible, on Jenkins. Other teams moving DTs didn't help (nor did his bitchiness, laziness, fatness).

    Market for DE is higher and should be. A very high 2 is fine, but realistically there should be ~150-200 points of value left over for the Pats to come back with. Them setting the market for Cassell doesn't mean it sets the market for franchise players.

    Didn't KC get a first and third for Allen?

    What's less valuable about Peppers? Is it that he fucked us by stating he hates it here?

    if we don't get a 1st round picks for peppers then Hurney should get fired.You trade a great player like peppers you should get a great value in return.How come the Chiefs were able to get 1st and 3rd pick for Jared Allen a guy who twice charged with DUI .If we only get just 34th pick for peppers that you might as well include Hurney also going to NE with peppers

    #34 and nothing else is bullshit. Really don't care to see it spun any other way.

    Nice job Hurney, way to be NE's bitch.

    Am I the only one who would have rather had Cassel straight up for Peppers vs the #34 pick? If we can't get one of those other 2nd rounders I'm going to be pissed.

    Allen's a few years younger, I guess. But not significantly, and certainly not enough to change it. You could say that the Vikings gave up too much, and maybe they did, but it also sets a value you have to try to get within.

    Vikings gave up 17, 73, and 82.

    17 = 950
    73 = 225
    82 = 180

    =1350, or roughly the 9th pick.

    34's just worth the 34 pick. 560. Or 390 points less - equal to the 51 pick. That's how valuable the difference is just between 34 and 17.

    34 and 58 would be 880 points, by Geep's chart that's around the 18 pick. I'm happy with that.

    Their 3rd is #89. That's worth 145. That plus 34 is 705, or around the 26 pick.
    There's buzz they might get a 3rd round compensatory for Samuel. That would be #97.

    Get down to their 4, that's 121, or 52 points. That plus #34 is in between the 30 and 31 pick. Not very good.

    it would be unlikely to make that trade, it'd be unlikely that we'd be able to accept Vrabel realistically unless they wanted him situationally, and you'd have another high money player you'd have to pay for that draft pick.

    Plus, Cassel would be inevitably and directly compared to Peppers. There's going to be enough riding on the expectations of this 34 pick, if that's what it comes down to.

    We're lucky to get what we get since he hasn't signed the franchise letter yet. When he is traded I hope he tears his ACL as he boards the plane elsewhere

    The problem is that Peppers for Cassel was never an option.
