I know it'll be discussed so I might as well bring it out.
Now that Peppers has his first sack (and had two more in that same half), I'm sure that there'll be speculation on what he'll do this year.

I think Pep will probably be nominated for NFC Defensive player of the week. I hope so, anyway. I'm not in Charlotte so I don't know what anyone else really did this weekend, but I wouldn't guess there were too many others

But just like being undefeated and having not turned the ball over at all this season (which would be a really cool stat if we weren't so timid about our third down situations), he won't keep this pace up. He might, IMO, pull ten sacks, but I was figuring 8-10 sacks through the year anyway, before the year started.

By the way, this average of one for every six or so third down conversion deal is going to stop soon, hopefully, along with the hope that reverses and trick plays will save us. We can't beat teams that don't suck by run, pass, run, punt. That's not going to beat anybody in the top two-thirds of the league. But I guess 2-0 is worth it, it's a good feeling.

    ok well let's address this:

1st, yeah, 10 or so isn't out of the norm

as for the defense, who knows if this will keep up, but who knows, if this defense doesn't realize it's not supposed to be as good as it is, maybe it'll be able to keep it up

as for the trick plays and crap, we ran one and it didn't work. i was there - we won because a) our defense smothered them and b) rodney peete played out of his mind

I like Moose's post game comments, when asked about Peepte's game.

    "He had over 300 yards???!!!!"

Just got back. Great game. End zone seats, had a good view of Moose's TD.

Defense: Our front four was just more physical. It was Peppers, but it wasn't just him. Rucker beat Backus a couple of times, both Lions QB got hit just about every time back.

By comparison, our offensive line allowed little pressure on Peete. Stuessie owns Porcher. Henning opened things up. Like how Peete went all "Johhny U" and called the plays when we had technical difficulties upstairs.

How about some love for Moose. Game ball for him. Second game in a row he made a big play when it counted.

I just want to say something I was thinking about the whole Peppers vs Harrington draft pick argument. I personally think Peppers is better but drafting Peppers also netted us a 4th rounder next year. We draft Harrington and we are still whining about Jay W's poor play and we don't have the extra draft pick. Just something to think about.

You could give a game ball to Minter and Cousins for the game sealing play. To Rucker. Hell, the whole D made plays.

Know who had a good game? Reggie Howard. Lots of good licks. Good run defender. Kind of have to be as a two deep corner. Maybe we got our corners???????

Navies was kind of absent. Made one play, and a bad one.

Moose was a beast, yes. Moose was why Peete had 300 yards instead of 175. Balls would go to him and then Peete, Peppers and Minter, and then there probably wouldn't be a special teams ball.

What was up with Cooper trying to push Howard down on the ball? Like the refs wouldn't see that.
