Peppers may be suspended

I can understand how you could take some by mistake. The redbulls and other energy drinks have it in it but so do several fitness products by EAS, ABB, etc. I've taken 10's of products with it in it. I used to buy a drink from EAS that had it in it, then I tried a different flavor...however, the new flavor was ephedrine free....you really have to read the labels. They call it natural because they get it from an herb...ma huang (sp).


The FDA is looking at banning it so companies are coming out with ephedra free versions of their 'fat burners"...so again, you have to read the label.

Anyways, I'm 100% sure that the physical game of football is more harmful to the body than a ephedra. If I was getting paid 50 million dollars to sack QB's, then taking legal supplements to help me should not be against the rules.

 

Y'all are just cursed. I'm sorry, but you are. I don't see any other explanation outside of "Things must go wrong. You are the BenGALS" - and that excuse/reason is already taken by, well, the actual BenGALS.

Anyway.... following this team would make me even more of a pessimist than I already am when it comes to sports. No thanks. It could be hazardous to one's health even.

8:47 PT: Updating an earlier story, Len Pasquarelli reports for ESPN.com league sources have confirmed Carolina Panthers DE Julius Peppers is facing a four game suspension after a test was deemed positive for a banned substance. League sources told ESPN.com Peppers tested positive for either ephedrine or a derivative of the stimulant ephedra. The league will conduct a second screening, likely by the end of the week. Peppers has the right to appeal the findings even if that test registers a positive result. A four-game suspension would cost Peppers $235,294 in base salary

 

They forgot to mention the ban would cost him:

Defensive Rookie of the year award.
Jevon Kearse's rookie sack record.

 

the second would be true, but the ROTY might not be out of bounds still, unless they biased against his suspension. If he got two more sacks this year, and finished in the top ten with twelve, that's still pretty stout.

 

I believe Clinton Portis or Stallworth have the rookie thing wrapped up, if this comes to pass.

Last time I took a piss test I wasn't allowed to flush until AFTER I gave them the sample.
