If there are other angles, it may be arguable, I suppose.

Like I said, I didn't see the play when it happened or catch the broadcast replays and comments. I saw the outrage in the game thread, and it being Hochuli, I figured it would make NFLN's Official Review. Having only that background, I expected it to be more clearly a bad call.

Look at 4:32-4:35 here. 4:32 is where I took my screenshot, which might be pre-contact. But 4:35 is definitely contact, and looks close enough that I can't say it was a terrible call. Maybe there are other angles that make it look better, but Hochuli only has his own perspective from which to make the call, and if his view was anything like that video, I can see why he called it. Thankfully, the outcome of the game didn't turn on it.

So Peppers' hit is fineable, and flagable which cost us directly 7 points.

But the Bears hit on Jake isn't fineable or flagable.

That makes sense, and is fair.

I think the Bears' hit on Jake should have been flagged and probably fined.

Not getting a fine on that was BS, and Briggs was hitting the Eagles helmet to helmet too. Didn't he also knock Patrick Ramsey out of a game with an elbow a few years ago?

Personally i thought that hit by Briggs .Was 10 time worst of hit then that Pepper hit .If you going to fined someone for helmet to helmet hit. Then in this case every player should get fiend.Peppers hit was a clean hit.Not a dirty hit.The ref should have never throw a flag none what so ever

it's fair... easy for me to say though, it's not my money

but it's only going to add fuel to Pep and this team will rally behind Pep... they'll take it personal a team captain is getting fined...

Even the Atlanta fans, many at least, said it was a BS call.

Maybe they should put skirts on the QBs.

I was surprised when Brian Dawkins hit on Moose in the preseason didn't draw a fine (the TD catch he wound up dropping). It was a leading helmet to helmet hit and caused Moose to miss 2 weeks....

    Basically.

I understand the league is never going back to the league I grew up watching (Montana/Simms etc used to just get destroyed game after game) but this is getting ridiculous.

The hit didn't cause the interception, the pressure may have, and the flag directly took 7 points off the board. To add insult to injury, the league fines Pep 10k? I have to agree with Collin, this fine is nothing more than a smokescreen protecting Hochuli, the league's Poster Boy ref.

It's bullshit and Pep should not pay the fine.
