He hit him with his facemask. He saw what he fucking hit. Its not like he led with the crown of his helmet. Maybe we can start teaching out DEs to jump into the QBs and do a 180 and hit them with their ass to knock them down. This is total fucking bullshit.

The facemask is part of the helmet. it might be a bad rule but according to the rule it was a helmet to helmet hit. Based on those pics it was his forhead that hit Ryan's head.

Technically yeah but players are taught to "see what they hit". Helmet to Helmet to me has always meant leading with the crown and not seeing what you hit because your head is down.(Dangerous for the D player's neck) There's no way a DE can launch himself at a QB without "leading with his helmet" if this is the way they are going to call it. Unless the DE is some sort of Transformer that can rotate his head onto his back.

I agree with Collin I think the NFL is covering Hockondeez ass on this one. IF they didn't fine him it would admit Hockondeez was wrong again.

Look at those pics again. Peppers hasn't even made contact with Ryan at that point. What, was he projecting an invisible forcefield in front of his helmet that pushed Ryan's helmet back? Ryan's head came backwards due to shrinking away from the hit he saw coming, but Peppers' helmet actually hit Ryan in the right shoulder. ESPN, SI, Yahoo, and the Fox game announcers all said that it was a bad call. You can tell that better from other angles.

Definitely need a rule modification on that one.

Hochuli needs to stop buying his shirts at Gap Kids.

that's pretty laughable. hopefully our D-line doesn't get scared about getting penalties and easing up on the QBs

That was a textbook tackle. In highschool we were always taught to square up wrap up and follow through with your helmet the side of his chest. the nfl has allot of these "fuzzy rules"
