While looking for numbers, I did finally note a Bench workout number for him - 24x225. He's gotten stronger, as expected.

I remember the cowgirls using Sanders as a wideout for a while and it really never worked. Sometimes stuff like that is just not as good as it might seem.

Take Brock Lesnar for example. If you watch him wrestle you would think he would be a great football player with all the size and speed and strength he has, not to mention the agility. You have to remember though that the guys he tried out against are some of the best in the world at what they do. Peppers may have the atheletic ability to be a tight end but would he really be a great option at tight end? I doubt it.

Deion only has 3 receiving TDs for a career, yes. But 36 catches in a year in 96 isn't something to sniff at.

I'm not looking for the widespread use of Peppers. I'm not even necessarily advocating it. But the guy's skilled, and using him the way other teams use the defensive end or linebacker at TE - a play or two a game - is not a risk.

Why, if you watched Jamie Foxx, you'd think he'd make a good pro quarterback.

It is a risk, maybe a small one, but still a risk. IMHO the Pats can afford to lose Vrabel but we can't afford to lose Peppers.

Those things are hard to judge. Most of the Denver O had to run way farther than Pep did since Pep had a straight shot down the sideline.

Running down Pitman from behind was impressive, but Pittman was not running in a straight line. He was waiting on blockers (it was a screen), eluding defenders, running over defenders (I think Branch). That slows you down a little.

I do think its interesting that Pep is not regarded as a speed rusher like Freeney, I don't think. All that said, he may run faster in a game than on a track. The aderelin is much different. Its being a gamer.
