I do not want Peppers returning punts either.

The risk may be greater at DE but unless you are proposing we switch him from DE to TE adding TE duties to his existing load at DE creates more opportunity for injury. Add to that the fact that all our TE does is block and he is likely to have a guy go for his knees.

That's world class speed. He certainly hasn't shown that when I've seen him run. He looks like 4.7 or thereabouts to me.

He ran a 4.62 and a 4.67 at his Pro Day senior year.

that seems about right, though when he's in sprint chasing someone, I'd say 4.50 is about right - some guys just do that. They usually say it about receivers, but how many guys has Peppers caught from behind?

That makes Pittman 4.8 and Vick 4.6 I guess. Outrunning the entire Denver defense for 99 yards isn't world class speed in your opinion?

I think he's slowed a little as he's put on more muscle. Still DAYUM fast, but I'd give a little speed up for the extra strength. If you notice he's damn near twice the size he was his rookie year.

yup as was stated earlier ;)

But he's ran a 4.32 in UNC's camp prior to his Junior year.

I do not want Smith returning punts any more either. Maybe on rare occasions when we really need it in a playoff game or something, like Darrell Green used to do but not our regular punt returner.
