your not using him for speed at TE....you would be using him for his basketball hands and height....not to mention he would be hard for a DB to tackle....

yeah, too bad we don't play the Ravens, I'd like to see Primetime trying to tackle Peppers going full speed down the seam. That would be a hardcore punkin'. :laugh1:

I do not like it. He would be at greater risk of injury and it would make him have to learn even more stuff. He is just now getting it down to where he can make the most of his enormous talent at DE. He is starting to come into his own I do not want to mess with it.

I know that Pats pull this stuff off but IMHO they do not have a player that is as valuable as Peppers, except maybe Brady and you do not see him playing corner.

Peppers ran a 4.32 at an individual workout for Carolina Officials his Junior year at Football camp. He had bad runs at the Combine and is actually much faster than that. A little investigation will tell you that.

I think Ray Lewis could do a little better job at that.

Well, the previous poster mentioned a defensive back trying to tackle Peppers, so I went with that.

If Peppers blew out a knee playing tight end and missed a year and then came back a step slower than he was how bright would this look?

He could do that at any time, on any play.
