Doing something new just for its own sake does not help either.

I am pretty happy with our offense of late. Given the weakness of our OL we are running the ball pretty well and protecting Jake fairly well. We put up 21 against Tampa and they still have a strong defense. They just shut out Atlanta.

If you have a throwaway down, and the personnel, why not create a little bit of something you might not otherwise have the ability to create with?

More than anything, what I wanted to see was us use a backup lineman at TE to put together some lanes. Luckily, our line's gotten back up to where we can do things again, but at the time I'd seen 3 or 4 teams use that against us and be successful.

actually, we only put up 14. the defense gave us the other 7. td drives on the first and last drives...and in between we pretty much stunk. but hey, it was enough to win.

I dont mind adding a wrinkle or two but I think getting too cute might hurt us. I start thinking of William Floyd throwing a pick in the end zone when we start talking about trick plays.

Well, I think that's a bit riskier but not really any different from the flea flicker and reverses we keep running.
