But we're also talking about folks who keep paying Morgan year after year. Love Morgan when he's on the field, and it's certainly not his fault or intentional that he stays hurt, but just saying it's likely we pay Pep unless his demands are completely unrealistic.

    Kasay sucks at kick-offs

2 touchbacks (league low) and 5 out of bounds (league lead)

kicker was brought in to kick off, and unless Baker can improve his kick-offs in the off season, one of our kickers won't be here next year... competition is being brought in and that's the message I'm seeing at every position

A lot of these last game signings sends a huge message... we may see less than 21 of 22 starters returning this time

It's a risk, but so is pretty much any huge contract for a professional athlete. And regarding the quote, I think that was tied to what Fox keeps saying about how sacks aren't the only measure of a defensive end, although I agree with lde that Peppers hasn't been as stout as usual against the run either. I'm not that concerned about him long-term, though.

It's possible, but there hasn't been anything obvious suggesting it besides the fact that there is no obvious explanation. I have no idea why he stunk this year.

And that is why I've turned on him. If he's injured, of course I'd give him a pass. But the effort just isn't there, and he's never made an injury report until the last 2 weeks of the regular season. To me, that screams psychological.
