Way to go Chicago. At least the Indians can say they were second in the division to a WS team.:satana:

midget, 1 call does not make a series. 4 CG's by the pitchers.

Bullshit. There are plenty of examples of momentum changing moments - which that call definitely was.

Kirk Gibson (both with the bat -A's and the the glove - Mets)
    Dave Roberts
    Dekinger
    Jeffery Meier

That call totally killed the Angels and set the tone for the Sox. If you don't think that Guillen managed totally differently because he was up 2-1 instead of down 2-1 then you are crazy.

The one thing that I can't understand is why the umps did not huddle the other night like they did last night - because they got it right last night.

Congrats CWS! I hope it's a CWS/Astros WS. It'd be great to see these two teams in the WS.

BTW Doug Eddings must be getting some threats against his family. I heard him on a news clip asking for everyone to please leave his family out this.

Did you hear all the stories about Roger Clemens' mother during the Saturday game? The day she died she kept talking about Shoeless Joe Jackson. So now it is believed that it will be the Astros and the White Sox in the World Series. Half way there already.

hold on. 1st of all, the blown call helped the Sox tie the series, not give them the lead. Garland/Garcia/Contreras went the distance in CA, not at home. Beurhle went the distance at home.

The Sox had surrendered home field advantage after losing the opener. If LA was the better team, they had the same mission-win 3 of the remaining 5. Ozzie didn't manage differently because once they got to CA, things were tied up, so basically it was a 5 game series going to CA with 3 played on the Angels field.

I don't dispute Chicago got a HUGE break in game 2, but that break did not win them the series.

Yeah - you're right - don;t know why I was thinking that game made it 2-1, but still if the Sox go to Anaheim down 2-0 then Guillen has to handle his staff totally differently.

Again, they won it on the field, but that call was a definite momentum changer. That's all I'm saying.
